Avenue: Last Goodbye

Check out the new video from the former X Factor contestants, here on inthenews.co.uk.

Avenue are a boyband for the 21st Century signed to Island Records, home to influential artists like The Feeling, Sugababes and Mika. The brainchild of no-one but themselves, the boys have been taking their time to get to work with the right producers, the right A&Rs, and have the right team behind them with a few hidden surprises!

Two years ago, Avenue entered the UK's most popular talent TV show, The X Factor. A curious quirk of fate meant that once they'd got through to the boot camp stage, they were disqualified on the basis that they had previous management in place.

Things could have been very different.

Now with a new management team in place, Crown Music Management, home of Sugababes, Gabriella Cilmi, Mutya Buena and other purveyors of pop perfection, Avenue have been recording their debut album with some of the best pop writers the industry has to offer.

They have been recording their debut album with some of the best pop collaborators including All Around The World (AATW), home of dance based artists like Cascada, Darren Styles and Scooter.

Avenue's Ross says: "Our tunes are poppy in that they're catchy, but they're the kind of tracks that you could listen to in clubs as a dance tune, or in a bar... Pop has changed - it's not about cheese anymore. You can make pop music that's credible."

Their debut single, Last Goodbye, released September 8th, is a stomping fusion of pop meets the unexpected.

Finally, you may recognise Jonny as he used to be a backing dancer for Girls Aloud and Rachel Stevens.

"It was great and they were so lovely," he says. I" was either partnered with Nadine or Nicola. One time I had to lift Nadine up which wasn't a bad job. I admire what they do and I think they're great reps for UK girl bands. They also have a great choreographer and choreographies."
