The long wait for one of the most eagerly anticipated trailers in recent memory is over, with Avatar debuting online.

Director James Cameron says his 3D sci-fi epic will revolutionise film-making, with critics and fellow directors in agreement having seen half an hour of footage at Cannes.

Viewers will get a brief chance to see if they agree tomorrow when 15 minutes of Avatar will be shown in IMAX cinemas nationwide and across the world.

The full trailer for the Sam Worthington-starring movie went live at 15:00 BST today.
