Former Neighbours and The Bill heartthrob Daniel MacPherson is being lined up to feature in next year's Celebrity Big Brother.
The 25-year-old hunk played Joel Samuels in the Australian soap and recently presented the Aussie version of the
X Factor, since leaving
The Bill, where he played PC Cameron Tait.
He is reportedly being courted by
Celebrity Big Brother execs, as is motor-mouth, Esther Rantzen.
Rantzen has been targeted for past series of the show, but is yet to bite the bait to embarrass herself on national television, a la past contestants Vanessa Feltz and Les Dennis.
One person who has reportedly already signed up for the show is the publicity-hungry and unpredictable Anna Nicole Smith.
Her slightly unhinged media persona should work as an emulation of last series' blonde Amazonian, Brigitte Nielsen.
She came third behind Blazing Squad singer Kenzie and winner, the Happy Mondays' Bez.
However, that was not before she'd argued with every single person in the house, stripped off and caused havoc in general.
That's a top billing to live up to for Nicole Smith, but if her own reality programme,
The Anna Nicole Show is anything to go by, that shouldn't be a problem.
The new series of
Celebrity Big Brother begins on January 5th.
