Dog wedding ruined
TV prankster Sacha Baron Cohen is up to his old tricks again, something the unfortunate Pamela Anderson discovered to her cost recently.
The blonde, balloon-chested babe was preparing for the wedding of her two dogs on a beach in Malibu, as you do, when she was confronted by Sacha, in the guise of his Kazak character, Borat the hapless interviewer.
While Luca and Star, the former
Baywatch actress's two pups, were preparing to be wed, Borat emerged from the sea riding a giant inflatable turtle called Thomas the Turtle, stunning onlookers.
It is reported that Pammy, all dressed in white and carrying a bouquet for the canine nuptials, was rugby tackled by a flailing Borat, in what is likely to be a stunt for Baron Cohen's new TV series.
Pammy looked less than amused however, in what must have been a relatively frightening experience for her: she thought she was being attacked by a leather-clad (as in Village People leather-clad), madman from Kazakhstan.
Security guards were quickly on the scene however, and hauled Borat away.
It is not the first time the Ali G creator has courted controversy in the US.
Last year he offended thousands of Americans when his character Borat appeared on stage at a white country and western bar, and sang a song comprising the lyrics: "Throw the Jew down the well so my country can be free, you must grab him by his horns, then we have a big party."
While Sacha Baron Cohen is an observant Jew himself, many critics said this still did not vindicate such behaviour.
