Murray was delighted to reach the last four in China
Andy Murray says he feels he can go on and win the Masters Cup having qualified for the semi-finals.
Murray has back-to-back wins against Andy Roddick and Gilles Simon to reach the last four with one group match still remaining.
The Scot is top of the red group ahead of his clash with world number two Roger Federer on Friday.
And having beaten two of the game's top players in the last three days Murray says he is pleased with his current form.
"It's great to be in the semi-finals as it's a tough group. To beat a couple of top ten players back-to-back is great," said Murray.
"The Masters Cup is obviously a huge, huge competition for all the top players. I've got a chance of winning it now."
Murray dominated his match against Simon, going 4-0 ahead in the first set before the Frenchman pegged him back slightly. But the 21-year-old was still able to prevail 6-4 6-2.
The Scot said he managed to find a way to beat Simon tactically.
He explained: "The more I got him moving, the more I changed the pace of the ball and he started to make more mistakes."
Simon admitted facing Murray had been a difficult task and he paid tribute to the world number four.
The Frenchman said: "It's difficult when you play this kind of player [Murray] because he never misses a shot so to beat him you have to make a good shot every time and I didn't."
Simon could still make the semi-finals but must beat Radek Stepanek in his final group match.
