Reigning champion Laura Robson has been knocked out of the Wimbledon girls' singles in the third round after a three-set defeat to the Netherlands' Quirine Lemoine.
Robson, 15, was hampered by back problems throughout the marathon match, which she lost in a little over two-and-a-quarter hours 6-2 4-6 8-6.
Lemoine played well enough and tested her British opponent - two years her junior - throughout the first set.
However, it was clear the title-holder was experiencing some pain as she received treatment from the trainer at every changeover in the early stages.
Despite unexpectedly clawing her way back into the match in the second set - which the second seed claimed after breaking Lemoine in the tenth game for 6-4 - Robson found it difficult to keep pace as the match wore on.
A brave effort saw the young Briton save four match points but eventually fatigue seemed to get the better of her as her succession of unforced errors reached a pinnacle and the Dutch girl secured the vital break to claim a deserved victory.
