Salford beat Bradford with late try
Salford snatched a nail-biting 17-16 victory over Bradford to move up to fifth place in the Super League.
A try from Luke Robinson with ten minutes remaining gave the Reds maximum points for only their second victory over the Bulls in their history.
The turning point of the match occurred when second row Brett Ferres was sinbinned for inteference allowing Salford to lead 11-4 at half-time with two tries from Junior Langi and a drop goal from Andrew Dunemann after Karl Pryce had given the Bulls an early lead.
But the Bulls fought back in the second half with tries from Ferres and right centre Ben Harris followed by goals from scrum half Paul Deacon.
But Robinson was the hero with his solo effort that cut through the Bradford defence followed by Stephen Myler's conversion.
Deacon missed a drop goal with two minutes remaining as Salford hung on for a much-needed victory.
Salford had lost their previous two home matches by a single point but are now one place behind Bradford after the 19th round of matches.
They next play Hull on July 8th while Bradford will hope to bounce back against bitter rivals Leeds Rhinos who lie second place behind St Helens.
