Harlequins have suffered their third straight Super League defeat after Huddersfield claimed a 32-16 victory at the Twickenham Stoop.
The in-form Giants, who have now won three games in a row, beat their playoff rivals thanks in the main to Australian star Brett Hodgson.
The kicker slotted six goals for his side and crossed the whitewash twice as his side ran out comfortable winners.
Leroy Cudjoe, David Hodgson and Michael Lawrence each scored a further try apiece for the visitors while injury-hit Quins' points came via the boot of stand-in captain Danny Orr (two goals) two tries from Chris Melling and one for Luke Gale.
The London side's defeat means they stay sixth - level on points with Wigan Warriors, Wakefield Wildcats and Warrington Wolves - while Huddersfield stay third but move two points closer to the top two, St Helens and Leeds Rhinos.
