The former Lazio boss is keen on a return to football
Former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has been linked with a shock return to management with Dynamo Kiev, according to reports.

The local Sport-Express newspaper reported that the Swede flew to Kiev last week for talks with former Dynamo boss Ihor Surkis.

Eriksson, who is still on the Football Association's payroll on £13,000 a day, has denied holding talks with the Champions League side.

Dynamo coach Anatoly Demyanenko said he was unaware of any talks involving Eriksson about the Kiev post.

"My job is to coach the team, not worry about some comments in the press," he said.

"So my answer is no, I don't know anything about it."

Demyanenko is under pressure due to the club's miserable Champions League campaign which has seen them lose four matches and concede 13 goals.

Eriksson admitted yesterday that he is keen to return to football and has held talks over a number of vacancies.

"I have been ready for a long time. It is the first time in my life that I have been without a job for such a long time, and I am talking about 30 years," he told Sky Sports News.

"I am not used to it and I hope the right job will come soon.

"In football it has always been the same when a team loses one or two games. It is the same in Italy - I have been linked with Inter every time they lose."

Eriksson, who resigned as England coach after their exit in the quarterfinals of the World Cup, has been linked with Nigeria and Newcastle United in recent weeks.
