Clint Dempsey could be on his way to Everton after apparently turning down a new contract at Fulham.

The midfielder has one year left on his contract at Craven Cottage but rumours suggest David Moyes is now lining up a £4 million bid for the player this summer.

Elsewhere, new Sunderland boss Steve Bruce could be about to make a move for Reading's Stephen Hunt.

The Republic of Ireland player is said to be frustrated and wanting a move, following the Royals' failure to secure promotion from the Championship last season.

Bruce has also been linked with a £6.5 million bid for Chilean forward Humberto Suazo.

And Blackburn are reported to be contemplating a move for Chelsea striker Franco Di Santo.

Rovers boss Sam Allardyce has said he hopes to agree a deal with the Blues for the 20-year-old forward shortly.
