Kevin Keegan is reported to be holding 'crisis talks' with Newcastle United board
Kevin Keegan is reported to be holding crisis talks with the
Newcastle United board.
Reports suggest that Keegan is unhappy with the club's recent transfer activity, including the sale of midfielder James Milner to
Aston Villa.
Fans and the club's owner Mike Ashley, on the other hand, are said to be unhappy with Keegan's decision to keep faith with Joey Barton after his release from prison.
Keegan, 56, made a dramatic return to St James' Park in January. Early optimism, however, soon faded with Keegan declaring at the end of last season that Newcastle would never be able to break into the top four of the Premiership.
Newcastle picked by Deportivo La Coruna striker Xisco for £5.7 million and the loan signing of midfielder Ignacio Gonzalez from Valencia in the last day of transfer activity yesterday.
