Manchester City's British record signing Robinho met manager Mark Hughes for the first-time today and immediately stated that his aim is for City to win the Premier League.
The Brazilian is on international duty, but met with Hughes in London and will join up with his new team-mates next week and will make his debut against Chelsea on Saturday September 13th.
"I met with the Manager today and it went very well, I know that he was a great player and I think that will be a big help to me. I want to help the manager and the team to win the Premier League, thats my ambition here."
The 24-year-old was expected to sign for Chelsea, but at the last-minute ended up at Eastlands in a move that shocked world football.
"I knew that Manchester City is a very big club, theres a great team there already and this is an exciting project," Robinho to the official Manchester City website.
"I liked the project, and when City made the offer to Real Madrid, I decided to come here. I liked the plans that Manchester City have and I want to succeed with them."
