Moyes says he has not intention of leaving Goodison Park
Everton manager David Moyes has insisted he has no plans to leave the club and expects to sign a new contract soon.
Moyes' current deal runs out at the end of the season but the Scot says he remains committed to the club and wants to stay.
Everton pushed
Liverpool hard for the crucial fourth place in the Premier League last season and the Toffees' boss says he hopes to help the club achieve their aim of solidifying a top four place in the future.
"I am not going anywhere," said Moyes.
"I am here and intend to see the job through. We have great expectations and I hope that I am able to fulfil them."
Moyes expects to sign a new deal within the next few weeks but says trying to coordinate the first team squad's pre-season preparation, as well as moves in the transfer market, is taking up his time at present.
He said: "I hope that maybe we can try and get together in the next week or two and sort something out."
So far this summer the only deal the Toffees have concluded is the permanent signing of South African Steven Pienaar, who was on loan at Goodison Park last season.
Moyes says he understands fans are frustrated by the lack of activity by the club but says he will only bring in high quality players who will enhance the current squad.
He explained: "We need to bring in three or four main players that are going to cost big money and my standards are that high that Im not going to bring them down.
"We need to bring in better players now to try and help the squad. But we don't have bundles of cash."
Chairman Bill Kenwright said yesterday that the club's proposed move to a new ground was not affecting their spending in the transfer market.
