Moyes wants more than one new face before the new season starts
Frustrated
Everton manager David Moyes has stressed the need for immediate additions to his squad.
Moyes was speaking after seeing his side win the final game of their US tour, but admitted he was disappointed not to have some new faces in his squad.
"Its been a good tour but the one disappointment is that I dont have some more people here with me," Moyes told the official Everton website.
"I was hoping to have added to the squad by now and brought a few in to give the players a lift."
Everton have been frustrated in their attempts to sign Portuguese midfielder Joao Moutinho from Sporting Lisbon and have so far failed to meet the £19.7 million asking price.
Moyes has stated however, that it's not just Moutinho that he wishes to add to a squad that finished fifth last season.
"Its not just a new face we need - its new faces. My big concern is that anybody we bring in now probably wont be ready to start the Premier League season. Its now getting to the stage where you are wondering how long it takes for new players to settle.
"Im hoping we will have some in (before the start of the season). But Im not going to turn around and say I am totally confident because you never know what happens. But, yes, I am hoping that we will end up getting a few in."
