Grass court pedigree

As a junior, Wozniacki enjoyed many strong days on grass - including winning the girls singles in 2006.

Last year she proved her credentials by beating Svetlana Kuznetsova at the International Women's Open in Eastbourne, before going down in three sets to Jelena Jankovic at Wimbledon.

Although yet to win a women's tournament on grass, it is arguably one of her stronger surfaces and she is sure to adapt better than some of her fellow top seeds.

Three of her four career wins have come on hard courts - all of which were last year - but she has won on clay in 2009.

Wimbledon seeding: 9th

Chances of SW19 success?

Wozniacki is currently involved in her final warm up event ahead of Wimbledon at Eastbourne, where she is the sixth seed and is into the semi-finals at the time of writing.

She has been in strong form so far in 2009 which has culminated in her becoming the first Dane to make it into the top ten.

Among her strengths is that she rarely encounters a shock defeat and is likely to push the big guns close at Wimbledon.

She had three match points against Serena Williams in the Medibank International earlier this year, while also pushing Dinara Safina close in the final of the Madrid Masters recently.

Wozniacki has made four finals so far in 2009 and her strength is her ability to make her opponent play one more shot - an attribute that has served well for players like Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray in the men's game.

Prediction: Final

Expect big things of Wozniacki this year, as she has all the skills needed to make the final. She serves well, continually keeps the ball in play and forces opponents to make errors.

The Dane has proved in the past that she has the temperament for the big occasion. Her one negative could be that she lacks some of the power of her rivals, which may see her fall one step short of overall victory.

It would be surprising if she didn't better her previous best at Wimbledon and failed to make it past the third round - where she has exited both previous grand slams this year.
