Bradford Bulls hooker Wayne Godwin signs three-year contract
Bradford Bulls hooker Wayne Godwin has agreed a new three-year contract to remain at the club until the end of the 2011 season.

The 26-year-old joined the Odsal outfit from Hull FC at the beginning of the season and has impressed head coach Steve McNamara with his dedication and commitment to the cause.

He was initially signed on a year-long contract but has since developed into a first-team regular for the Bulls, playing in all but one game this season.

"We're delighted - he's been everything we could have asked for," McNamara said.

"His attitude to training, in games and off the field is just first class, his form's been good and we think Wayne's best football is still ahead of him so it's great we've got him for another three years."

Godwin has previously played for Wigan Warriors and Castleford Tigers but said the lure of Bradford and the trophy-winning potential of the squad had persuaded him to commit his long-term future.

"I just wanted to get back to enjoying my rugby again while proving to Macca and Bradford what I'm all about," he explained.

"For whatever reason, it's just not worked out at my last two clubs over the last couple of years and I wanted to get settled and stay at a place where I'm happy and I couldn't be happier than I am here.

"The Bulls have given me a three-year extension so hopefully I've started to show what I can do and it's great to sort my long-term future.

"I feel there's a lot more to come from me yet. I want to take my game to the next level and feel I can do that with Bradford because of Steve McNamara and the coaches we have here."End of story
