Huddersfield Giants' new Australian signing Liam Fulton will be forced to wait for his Super League debut, according to head coach Nathan Brown.
Fulton completed his move to the Galpharm Stadium yesterday after receiving visa clearance and will travel to London with the rest of the squad for this weekend's clash with Harlequins at the Twickenham Stoop.
However, Brown believes the game may come too soon for the former Wests Tigers player to fit straight into the starting lineup - especially as he only arrived in the country on Monday.
"He'll come to London with us, but maybe it's not the right time to play him," Brown said.
"It might be that he needs to train with us for a week or two before he starts playing, but it's one I can't answer until we have seen him train."
He added: "Whether he's up for selection is up for debate."
Fulton, who will wear squad number six during his initial one-year deal, said he is looking forward to joining up with the rest of the team - which includes former Wests club-mates Brett Hodgson, Jamahl Lolesi and Paul Whatuira.
"There are a lot of familiar faces what with Hodgo, Jammer [Lolesi] and Fatz [Whatuira] here - I have played with them all before and I'm looking forward to getting out there on the field again," the 24-year-old said.
"I have met up with the squad, they seem a great set of guys and it is a case of getting to know them a bit better and help them carry on their winning ways."
