Bradford Bulls forward Glenn Morrison has been ruled out for the next three months of the Super League season with a ruptured ligament in his wrist.
The second row suffered the injury during the 28-26 defeat to Castleford Tigers at the Jungle on Sunday.
Morrison suffered the injury early in the match but played on for the full 80 minutes even scoring a try early on in the second half.
And Bulls coach Steve McNamara said he is "desperately disappointed" for the player.
"He has been playing really well this year," he explained.
"Such is his courage that he never mentioned the injury until after the game, although he did it in the opening minutes.
"It's a blow for us but these things are part and parcel of the game and Glenn's injury will give an opportunity for someone else to step up."
The extent of the injury means Morrison is only likely to play in the Bulls' final nine regular season games, with his first game back in the team being earmarked for the return fixture against Castleford in early July.
