Hamilton pledges future to McLaren

Hamilton wants to stay with McLaren his whole career
Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton has pledged his future to McLaren claiming he is with the team has always dreamt of.

Hamilton says he has no plans to move on to other teams in the future, as past champions have in search of another challenge.

Rather the Briton says he is happy where he is and cannot see himself ever wanting to drive for another team.

In the past the likes of Michael Schumacher, Jacques Villeneuve, Damon Hill and Fernando Alonso have all left the team they won championships with.

But Hamilton insists he does not plan on following their example.

He said: "I'm with the team I've always dreamt of driving for, and I've got the car I always wanted - so why change?

"I don't know how long I'll be in F1 - but I want to see my career out with this team, and that's my plan."

Hamilton has received congratulations on his achievement from many quarters since his return to Britain but the McLaren team has revealed Her Majesty The Queen also sent her best wishes in a letter.

It said: "I am delighted that you have succeeded in winning the Formula One world championship to become the youngest ever champion.

"I send you my warmest congratulations on your remarkable and historic achievement."

As the youngest ever F1 champion and the first Briton to win the title since Hill in 1996 Hamilton is sure to earn more prizes and congratulations before the end of the year.
