FIA appoints eminent QC to investigate allegations of Nazi-style' activities made against president Max Mosley
Formula one's governing body has appointed an independent expert to investigate allegations Max Mosley took part in a "Nazi-style" orgy.

FIA wants Anthony Scrivener QC to analyse the available evidence ahead of an extraordinary hearing at its general assembly on June 3rd.

Mosley, the son of Fascist leader Oswald Mosley, faces a vote of confidence at the assembly which will decide his future as FIA president.

The allegations centre on a report in the News of the World in March that claimed Mosley had hired prostitutes dressed in Nazi uniforms.

"Senior officers of the FIA have appointed Anthony Scrivener QC as an independent expert to undertake a full analysis of the available evidence relating to allegations in the News of the World that Mr Mosley was involved in 'Nazi-style' activities," an FIA statement said.

"Mr Scrivener QC will provide an opinion on whether the available evidence supports the use by the News of the World of this description."

Mosley has denied any Nazi connotation to the sex scandal, although the News of the World published the videos of his encounter on its website last month.

The 68-year-old is also seeking unlimited damages against the tabloid.End of story
