FA Cup winners Portsmouth face a nightmare start to the 2008/09 Premier League season with a trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea.
And things do not get any easier for Harry Redknapp's men after they visit last year's runners up, with a home fixture against champions Manchester United and then a trip to Goddison Park to face Everton.
The Boxing Day visitors to Fratton Park are West Ham United, with a difficult fixture away to Arsenal following two days later as part of their Christmas schedule.
Pompey's final game of the season on May 24th will see them visit the JJB Stadium to take on Wigan Athletic.
