Nicky Butt confident Newcastle "have enough" to stay up

Newcastle have failed to win in the league since Keegan took charge
Midfielder Nicky Butt says he is confident
Newcastle United have enough talent to stay in the Premier League.
The Magpies are just four points above the relegations zone and have been dragged into a fight for survival having failed to win in nine games since Kevin Keegan took charge of the side.
However, Butt believes the point they took against
Birmingham City on Monday night could prove to be the turning point in their season.
The former
Manchester United man says that the players have confidence in each other when they look around the dressing room.
He said: "Looking at each other in the dressing room, we know we have more than enough to get out of it. We know if we keep playing and performing like we did in the second half we will be ok."
Defeat against the Blues would have seen Newcastle drop another place down the table. But the Magpies' second-half fightback signalled to Butt that they are performing well enough to stay up.
"With Birmingham being around us it was a massive point, and from our second-half performance I felt we deserved to go on and win it," said Butt.
"The goal we conceded was disappointing but we kept going and in the second half especially I felt we were the better team."
The Magpies face
Fulham at St James' Park tomorrow in a match that will go a long way to deciding their fate. A win could see them move away from danger but a defeat could cause Butt to reassess his evaluation.
