Harry Redknapp fears
Portsmouth will not be able to afford
Chelsea midfielder Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Redknapp has revealed he wants to sign four new players, including a winger.
The Pompey boss admits he wants to sign Wright-Phillips but admits the 26-year-old may be out of their price range.
"He'd be a hit here, the fans would love him," Redknapp told the Daily Star Sunday.
"He's my type of player, but the problem is whether we can afford him and his wages.
"He will also be anxious to see how his future lies with his new boss Luiz Felipe Scolari."
Redknapp also revealed he is chasing
Liverpool duo Peter Crouch and Yossi Benayoun.
The FA Cup winners reportedly had a £9 million bid for Crouch rejected, with Redknapp insisting he leaves the negotiations to chief executive Peter Storrie.
I give Peter [Storrie] a list and off he goes, but because he has been away I don't know the latest," Redknapp added.
"Peter is a good bloke, he rarely lets me down, although I understand Liverpool do want more than we are offering (for Crouch). We shall see on that one.
"I'd like to have someone like Yossi Benayoun. He's a top player. I don't know what the chances are of getting him out of Liverpool."
