Reds begin season on Wearside

Liverpool have been told their 2008/09 Premier League campaign will kick off on Wearside against Sunderland, after the fixture list was unveiled.
Reds fans will already be looking ahead to September 13th, however, when they entertain title holders and bitter rivals Manchester United in the first 'big four' clash of the season.
The first Merseyside derby follows two weeks later when Rafael Benitez's men travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton, with the return match scheduled for January 17th.
The final game of the season for the Reds is at Anfield, when home fans will be hoping to still be involved in the title race as they host Tottenham Hotspur.
