Hull City complete signing of defender Bernard Mendy
Hull City have completed the signing of former Paris Saint Germain defender Bernard Mendy on a free transfer.
The Frenchman joins the top-flight newcomers on a three-year contract after being released by PSG at the end of the 2007/08 season.
And his new manager Phil Brown believes the former
Bolton Wanderers loanee will bring "a dynamic edge" and "international pedigree" to the Tigers squad.
"He has vast experience from the French Premier League and I think he has some unfinished business where the French national team is concerned," Brown told the club's official website.
"Hopefully we can help him fulfil that here.
"He brings pace and he'll bring a dynamic edge to us down the right-hand side. There are two positions that he can play in - right back and on the right side of midfield.
"So he also brings flexibility in terms of a change of system."
Mendy has three international caps to his name so far and will be looking to impress in the Premier League in order to stake a claim for inclusion in any future squads.
