New England under-21 coach Stuart Pearce has announced his first squad since taking charge this week, naming three debutants in his 23-man line-up.
The Manchester City boss has called up prolific Blackburn Rovers striker Matt Derbyshire, who has scored five times in his side's last seven games, along with Aston Villa defender Gary Cahill.
Tranmere Rovers goalkeeper Joe Hart, who is on loan from Pearce's club, also receives a call for the under-21 friendly international against Spain next Tuesday.
The game will be played at Derby County's Pride Park ground and Spurs midfielder Tom Huddlestone, who has impressed many pundits with his performances in the centre of Spurs' midfield this season, is likely to start the game as he returns to his former club.
Recalls are given to Blackburn's David Bentley, Manchester United midfielder Kieran Richardson and Reading striker Leroy Lita, while West Ham defender Anton Ferdinand misses out through injury.
