Hamilton has 'moved on' from racism row
Lewis Hamilton says he has 'moved on' from the racism row and now wants to focus on the new season.
The formula one driver wants to concentrate on the season opener in less than a month in Melbourne.
Hamilton, who was last night named as breakthrough of the year at the Laureus world sports awards, would not be drawn on Bernie Ecclestone's controversial comments that the abuse was "nothing to worry about".
"It's not really something I want to comment on. I've moved forward and I'm looking forward to the first race," he said.
"Honestly, I can't wait to get back out there. The first grand prix - the car is feeling good, the team feels good and I feel good and that's all that matters."
The McLaren driver said he was focused on "winning more races" and "finishing more races", with the ultimate goal being to "win the world championship".
Hamilton was subjected to racial abuse from Spanish fans who wore wigs and blackened face make-up at Barcelona's test session last month.
"I feel even more confident than last year, even more determined because I know what to expect," said the 22-year-old.
