Bolton have signed Dutch winger Mustapha Riga on a three-year contract, subject to the 26-year-old receiving international clearance.
A former Holland under-21 international, Riga was born in Ghana but moved to the Netherlands as a youngster and played for three Dutch clubs before moving to Levante in Spain.
The relegated Spanish club suffered financial difficulties and Riga was one of a number of players forced to protest at their failure to pay them last season.
He is known as "The Bullet" in Spain, where he scored 28 goals in 104 appearances for Levante.
He will be expected to replace El Hadji Diouf, who moved to Sunderland also on Monday, at the Reebok.
Riga becomes manager Gary Megson's third major summer signing, after striking deals for Swedish forward Johan Elmander from Toulouse and England under-21 international Fabrice Muamba from Birmingham in June.
