Manchester United midfielder Chris Eagles has signed a three-year deal with Burnley for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old has come through the ranks at Old Trafford but has failed to make a real impression on the first-team.
Eagles has part of United's pre-season tour and scored in South Africa against the Kaizer Chiefs.
"I've been away on tour thinking about it and it's been a hard one because I've been there so long - to get it finally signed though is good and I just want to start training now and meet the lads," Eagles told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"It's been like a comfort zone - I've been there for so long, it was hard moving away as I knew everyone from the cleaner to the manager, but I believe it's a big step and a step in the right direction."
Burnley manager Owen Coyle is building a squad he hopes can challenge for automatic promotion.
Eagles is his sixth summer signing having previously spent loan spells at Championship rivals
Watford, Sheffield Wednesday, as well as Dutch outfit NEC Nijmegen.
"He can play as a striker, or behind the striker or wide or as a central midfielder," Coyle said.
"He gives you a host of variations, but out with that he's a talented footballer and that's what we want - young exciting talents to compliment the quality we already have."
