A British girl has reportedly sustained multiple injuries after falling from a hotel's fifth floor balcony in Mallorca.
The girl, who according to reports is seven years old, is critically ill in a local hospital following the fall at the Hotel Samoa de Mallorca on the Spanish island's east coast.
She reportedly fell more than 30ft (10m) from a fifth floor window on to an office roof.
A Foreign Office statement confirmed: "We are aware of a incident involving a British national, a minor, who fell from a balcony."
Local media outlets claim that the seven-year-old had been staying at the hotel with her parents and two brothers.
According to reports the injured girl had been sharing a room with her mother; who police have not been able to locate since the fall at about 07:30 local time (06:30 BST) today.
The three-star Hotel Samoa, which overlooks the Cala Domingos beach, has 300 rooms over eight floors.
