One of the black box recorders from the Yemeni plane which crashed into the Indian Ocean yesterday has been found, reports suggest.
A French official is quoted by the AFP news agency as claiming efforts to revive the flight recorder will begin later today.
The Airbus 310 came down in bad weather with over 150 people on board on Tuesday.
So far, only one survivor - a 14-year-old girl - has been found.
The crash is the second involving an Airbus aircraft in the last month, with 228 people dying when an Air France plane fell into the Atlantic Ocean on June 1st.
The majority of the passengers on board the Yemeni plane are believed to have been from Comoros, a former French colony.
Following the disaster Yemen's national carrier, Yemenia, has insisted strict maintenance is carried on its planes "in line with international standards".
Earlier, French transport officials said faults had been found on the Airbus A310-300 back in 2007 and it had not been used since in the country.
