Two students have been wounded after shots were fired at a university campus on the US east coast.
Classes at Delaware State University (DSU) have been cancelled, while students are being advised to remain in their halls of residence while the gunman remains at large.
Police say that they suspect a lone male student known to his victims is responsible for the shootings.
"A single male suspect is being sought, but has not yet been apprehended," a message on the DSU website read.
"The investigation is continuing with the assistance of other local police."
The shooting has left one female student fighting for her life in hospital, while the second shooting victim, who is male, is said to be in a stable condition.
DSU said the shootings had taken place at 00:54 local time (05:54 BST).
"The primary priorities of the university at the point are the safety of the residential student population and the DSU police investigation of the shooting," a statement explained.
"DSU police department with the assistance of the Dover police department are working toward the apprehension of the suspect."
