At least ten people have been killed and 40 others injured after a blast at a funeral in north-western Pakistan, local police claim.
The suspected bombing attack on Friday reportedly targeted mourners in the town of Dera Ismail Khan.
In the aftermath of the attack shooting broke out around the hospital where the dead and the wounded were taken and police were forced to fire tear gas to restore order, reports claim.
Saadullah Marwat, a local police officer, is quoted by the al Jazeera new agency as claiming several shops and vehicles were also attacked in the aftermath.
He added it was unclear whether the funeral blast had been caused by a suicide bomber. There has been no immediate claim of responsibility.
On Thursday, a suicide bomber killed nine people on Thursday night at a mosque in the district of Bajaur.
