A Pakistani official has allegedly claimed 124 people have been arrested in connection with the Mumbai terror attacks.
The Associated Press news agency quotes the official in suggesting the arrests represented a crackdown on groups supposedly linked to the attacks last November.
Almost 180 people were killed when gunmen struck a number of different sites across the Indian city last year, including two high-profile hotels.
Since then India has continued to blame groups linked to Pakistan, an accusation Islamabad initially rejected.
British prime minister Gordon Brown backed India's claims, pointing the finger at militants belonging to the Lashkar-e-Taiba group.
The sole surviving gunman Mohammed Ajmal Amir Qasab remains in police custody, with Islamabad reluctantly admitting that he is indeed a Pakistani citizen.
