Pakistani police have arrested a Saudi citizen believed to be linked to the July 7th terrorist attacks on London, reports claims.
Zabi u Taifi was among seven suspected al-Qaida members captured in a raid near the city of Peshawar, local officials told the Associated Press news agency.
The Pakistani authorities also said the raid was witnessed by United States intelligence officials.
It is currently unknown was role Mr Taifi is alleged to have played in the 2005 attacks which left 52 people dead, with security officials remaining cautious on releasing any information.
An unnamed source told the Associated Press: "We have reasons to believe that we got the right man who had played a role in the 2005 attacks in London."
Those arrested in the raid are currently being held in police custody in Pakistan and are continuing to be questioned.
