US president Barack Obama has taken the oath of office again after stumbling over his words at his inauguration on Tuesday.
Chief justice John Roberts delivered the oath once more to Mr Obama at the White House on Wednesday night.
The decision to make the new president retake the oath came after Mr Obama mixed up his words while being sworn in as the 44th president on the United States in Washington.
After mistakenly interrupting Mr Roberts when repeating his name and solemnly swearing, the oath appeared to fall apart with Mr Obama and the chief justice repeating different phrases.
On Wednesday the pair decided to do it all over again in what the White House described as an "abundance of caution".
Mr Obama joked with reporters beforehand they had decided to do it again after having so much fun the first time round.
In a press conference earlier in the day Mr Obama announced a wage freeze for all of his White House staff and pledged to restore trust in the US government.
