The American woman who gave birth to octuplets in January this year says she has "screwed up" both her and her children's lives.
Nadya Suleman, who already had six children aged two to seven, told US broadcaster Fox she had to "pretend like I don't regret" conceiving through IVF again.
In a two-hour documentary to be screened tonight the 33-year-old said: "I screwed myself, I screwed up my life, I screwed up my kids' lives...What was I thinking?
"What the heck am I going to do? I have to put on this strong face, and I have to pretend like I don't regret it.
"I cannot regret it now because I have them and they are here but what was I thinking?"
Ms Suleman has faced accusations she is trying to cash in on her 14-strong family, while questions have been asked of the welfare of her children.
A press blurb for Octomom: The Incredible Unseen Footage has added to these fears.
"From the day the octuplets were born, cameras had unprecedented access to every area of Suleman's life," a message on the Fox website says.
"For more than seven months, cameras documented Suleman, capturing incredible footage, including the private moments and reactions of Suleman's family, as well as Suleman's own feelings, doubts and fears."
Ms Suleman and her children currently live in a four-bedroom property in Los Angeles having moved out of a smaller house she shared with her parents after the octuplets were born.
