A British tourist has been found dead on the Caribbean island of Jamaica.
Barbara Scott Jones, 61, had been reported missing a week ago and her body was found in a pit near the house she was staying in.
Jamaican police have launched a murder investigation into the death and have said they are looking for Omar Reid, a 30-year-old resident of the area.
Reid worked as Ms Scott-Jones' caretaker though police could not confirm reports that the pair were in a relationship.
The island's police chief said Ms Scott-Jones, who hails from Leeds, had died of a skull fracture and had been in the country since January.
The Press Association reports a spokesman for the Foreign Office as saying: "We have been informed of the reported death of a British national and local consular officials have already been in touch with family members who are on the island.
"We understand the police are investigating the circumstances."
Ms Scott-Jones is the first tourist to be killed on the popular holiday destination this year. Last year, 1,400 people, including 19 police officers, were murdered in the country.
