Suicide bomber attack in southern Afghanistan kills at least 10

At least ten people are believed to have been killed when a suicide bomber targeted a crowd in southern Afghanistan.
Initial reports say the dead are civilians, caught up in the area when a bomber attacked an army convoy.
It is believed at least another seven people have been injured in the attack in Gereshk district, while Reuters reports that a roadside bomb in the east has killed a further two people in the Khost district.
It is believed the attack which has killed ten took place near to where a crowd was celebrating Afghan New Year.
Spokesman Daud Ahmadi told AFP: "An explosion by a three-wheeled motorcycle targeting an Afghan army convoy killed at least ten civilians in a crowded area of Gereshk district."
