The trial of the Austrian man accused of imprisoning and sexually abusing his daughter for 24 years will begin on March 16th.
Josef Fritzl is allegedly to have fathered seven children with his daughter Elisabeth while forcing her and some of their children to live underground in a dungeon he purposely built.
The 73-year-old was charged in November with rape, invest, false imprisonment and enslavement.
He has also been charged with murder, relating to the death of Elisabeth's seventh child who died shortly after childbirth.
Franz Cutka, a court official in the eastern Austrian city of St Poelten, said on Thursday it was hoped the trial would be completed within one week.
Mr Fritzl has been held in custody since April last year and a psychiatric report earlier declared him mentally fit to stand trial.
His lawyer Rudolf Mayer has admitted the 73-year-old will not appeal against the charges brought against him.
