Up to 15 people are feared dead after a massive tornado tore through towns in the US state of Oklahoma.
Local police said trailer parks in Lone Grove had been ripped apart by the powerful tornado, cutting a half-mile path through the town.
The true extent of the tornado's destruction is not expected to be revealed until first light, with the twister striking yesterday evening local time.
"It's just too dangerous," a police spokesperson told the Oklahoman about the search for survivors in Lone Grove.
"We don't need to be adding any more injuries to what we already have."
More than 30,000 people are without power as a result of the twister, which has torn through power cables across the state.
