A theatre in Vienna is planning on producing a soap opera based on the life of Josef Fritzl, the Austrian man who imprisoned his daughter for 24 years.
The Raum-Anatomie theatre said the show will be titled "Pension Fritzl" German for "Fritzl's Bed and Breakfast" and will run from February 23rd.
Controversial comedian Hubert Kramar is set to star in the show having previously shown he is not afraid to court controversy after turning up to a society ball dressed as Adolf Hitler.
The Austrian Times reports the show will be a satire looking at a society that allowed the alleged crimes to take place. However, family friends have expressed anger at the plans.
Mr Fritzl is alleged to have continually abused his daughter Elisabeth for a quarter of a century, fathering seven children with her, some of whom never left a dungeon built by the Austrian man.
The 73-year-old is currently being held in custody and is expected to go on trial in March this year.
The case only came to light last year when one of Elisabeth's daughters was taken ill and admitted to hospital.
