One of the most wanted men in Britain has been arrested in the Netherlands, police have confirmed.
Noel Cunningham, 47, had spent six years on the run after he was broken out of a prison van while being transported to court.
Two guards were injured in the incident in London in 2003, with one being shot in the leg.
Cunningham was being taken from Brixton prison to a London court where he was due to face charges in connection with a £1.25 million theft when he escaped.
The Metropolitan police confirmed on Thursday afternoon that he had now been re-arrested.
Cunningham was named in a list of Britain's 40 most wanted criminals and is due to return to the UK in the next few days.
He originally escaped after two men ambushed the prison van in which he was travelling along with another man facing the same charges.
