Three people including a young child have died after an explosion in St Petersburg, Russia.
Local officials said the dead were all passengers in a car which had stopped outside a metro station.
"A car exploded near the metro station Udelnaya at 08:55 local time (05:55 GMT)," Andrey Alybayev told the AFP news agency.
"Three people were killed, including a three-year-old child."
According to police, the explosion was caused by a grenade activated by a passenger in the car.
"There was no act of terrorism - the grenade just went off by accident. It is not clear yet why the man had a grenade," the city's police chief Vladislav Piotrovsky told the Interfax news agency.
"We will have a clearer picture by the end the end of day."
