One dead after large eathquake hits Greece
At least one person has been killed after an earthquake measuring 6.5 on the richter scaled rocked southern Greece, causing widespread but limited damage.
At least 20 people have been injured after roofs caved in as the tremor - which had an epicentre 200 kilometres (124 miles) west of Athens - struck near Patras in the Peloponnese region. The quake struck at about 15:25 BST today.
Local television reports said firefighters are making every effort to extricate the few people who may be trapped in damaged buildings.
