At least 28 people have died and 70 have been injured in Cuba after a train rammed into a bus in the country's eastern province of Granma.
The incident took place at a level crossing, 500 miles southeast of the country's capital Havana, according to Cuban state television.
The accident happened when a train travelling from Santiago to Manzanillo collided with a passenger bus. The Reuters news agency reports railway officials as saying that the train pushed the bus forward following the collision until the vehicle fell off a bridge in the area.
Fifteen people have suffered serious injuries in the accident and an investigation has been launched into what is the worst transport mishap on the island for years.
In June, a road accident in the country claimed 11 lives and injured 50 people when a truck overturned in the city of Santiago.
