At least five Chinese police officers have been stabbed to death after a man stormed a police station in Shanghai.
Four other policemen and a security guard were also injured in the attack and are being treated for stab wounds.
Local reports claim a 28-year-old Beijing man has been arrested after the attack in the Public Security Bureau office.
The man is said to have been arrested last year for stealing bicycles, the BBC reports.
The building has now been cordoned off by police as their investigation into the incident continues.
