Indian officials have admitted there were security lapses leading up to last week's terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
Union home minister P Chidambaram said on a visit to the city on Friday that the government would look to address safety arrangements currently in place.
"I agree security, intelligence failed", he told reporters.
"There is ample evidence to link terror attacks to organisations or entities which have in the past been responsible for terror attacks."
Over 170 people were killed when gunmen attacked seven separate sites in Mumbai, including the Taj Mahal Palace hotel, last Wednesday.
Elsewhere, CNN have quoted Indian security officials as claiming the attackers were helped by a Bangladeshi national.
Reports suggest that cell phone SIM cards were bought for the gunmen by the national at several locations across India.
