Defender Jonathan Woodgate has claimed Tottenham Hotspur's players are behind under-fire manager Juande Ramos "no matter what".
The Spaniard is coming under increasing pressure to resign or be sacked following the club's awful start to the Premier League.
No wins and just two points from their opening eight games represents Spurs' worst-ever start to a top flight campaign.
But Woodgate says the players are still in full support of Ramos and his methods.
"He is still the manager and hopefully he will continue to be," the former Middlesbrough centre-back said.
"We will stick by the manager no matter what."
Rather than pin any blame on the coach, Woodgate said the players are the ones to blame for the team's slump in form which has left them in a genuinely precarious position in terms of a possible relegation battle this season.
"We've played well at times, but this season we haven't cut it," he continued.
"The buck stops with the players. We're bottom of the Premier League and it's not nice at all.
"We're hurting inside, but we have to stand up and get ourselves out of this mess that we've got ourselves into."
