Bradley Wiggins' Tour de France has ended after his team, Cofidis, were forced to withdraw from the race.
The team's decision to pull out followed the positive drugs test of Wiggins' team-mate Cristian Moreni.
The Italian rider tested positive for testosterone after Thursday's 11th stage from Marseille to Montpellier and he did not contest the result by asking for a B sample.
Moreni is the second competitor involved in a doping scandal on this year's Tour after the Ukranian pre-race favourite Alexander Vinokourov was suspended by his Astana team pending the confirmation of his results via a second sample.
Wiggins' trainer Shane Sutton told BBC Radio Five Live: "Bradley has always been clean from day one and he will be very disappointed.
"One mindless individual has put everybody at risk and it is a shame."
Wiggins was in 138th place two hours, 42 minutes and 20 seconds behind current race leader Michael Ramussen.
